Hoilday bling blog hop 2012

Hey everyone , I joined up to do the Holiday bling blog hop hosted by Shelley and Marlene (eveyones info will be at the end of the page , ...
I was parted with a newbie (her first blog posting is about this hop...) we made gifts for our partners , now in the middle of all this , I lost my Grandmother , and our family passed around a nasty bug, and some other personal issues came up (they seem to always arrive when you have things that MUST get done don't they ??? ) ... Anyway , you can check out what i sent my partner Gina and you can see it here on Gina's blog ....

She made me some lovely things , My blog must be short , please forgive me it's been a rough few days ... but i wanted to post the pictures and keep the blog hop going ...

She knew i loved jewelry making so she sent me some beautiful pendents ,

Gina made this one herself , i believe she made both of them but i have to check on that , If anything I'm wring is wrong i will glady re~do this , my mind is just crazy right now ...

SHE MADE THIS SNOWFLAKE (we both adored snowflakes ... ironically Ginas address has SNOWFLAKE in it .. i think that's awesome .. and it's sooo gorgeous ,

She send me a gorgeous neck lass and a apron for both me and my daughter , My camera died before i got pictures of it , and i need to go buy batteries ... so please sign up for updates for my blog and you can get notified when I update ..

Also just to make some smiles ... and hopefully be forgiven for messing up . but part of what life got in the way was a friend I've known since i was in 1st grade called me having no one to baby sit her daughter , My "niece" and of course i had to take her , then there was a family emrengery in her family so I've had my nice one to two times a week , and yes i could put the baby down and just go about doing my "work" packing up boxes ect .. but look at this face and tell me if you'd want to put her down ...?

My Little HARLEY QUINN !!!!

The first day i had her , i pulled the blanket off her carrier and relized it was this itty bitty 8 lb baby !!!

Even Lily adores our little Harley!!!

  1. Oh my goodness, Linda, no wonder you didn't want to tear yourself away from that sweet little face! Caring for baby is certainly a life-changing experience. I am so sorry to hear of your dear grandmother's passing. Perhaps having an extra busy time caring for Harley was a big blessing for you at this difficult time. The loss of our loved ones is a reminder of the preciousness and fragility of life, yet babies teach us it is always being renewed!

Hopefully it was a good distraction to take a few moments and create Gina's gifts. You both really got into the Spirit of the Season with your snowflake theme. I hope the upcoming Holiday brings Peace, Joy and Hope to you and yours.

  6. Linda, so sorry to hear of your loss. Life does have a way of throwing us a curve ball every once in a while. Seems Harley came to visit at just the right time though, just when you could use a cute little baby to love on! ALL the goodies you are sending your partner Gina are sweet, you can see you put a lot of love into everything you sent!

Thank you for participating in our blog hop, hoping the Holidays are a joyous time for you and your family! xxoOh! ~ Shelley

  9. Thank you so much for all of your kind words to me about my grandmother , my mother taught me to bake ... my grandmother was the first one to show me how to knit ... (hopefully Gina will get the best of that with the little knitted bag i sent her :)...)

And thank you for agreeing with me about my Harley Bug ... shes 3 months old as of the 5th and only 9lbs .. well maybe still under 9lbs .. she is just the SWEETEST baby , she smiles and giggles and babbles to me , she loves it when i stick my tougn out just a little and she giggles and trys it , she can hold her head up , and has the funnest expressions , when my husband came home the first day i had her she still had that what i call "drunken head wobble" and hes talking to her .. and hes not much of a baby person but he did like her allot I think cuz shes sooo tiny but hes talken to he and shes kinda propped up on my lap and shes got the drunken wobbley head going , and has a eyebrow raised and making a 0 with her mouth looking at him and i could just picture the little word bubble above her head .. going "who the HECK are you buddy !! and what you looken at !!???" .. it was the cutest thing... now he can make her giggle and laugh and it's the sweetest sound , I say shes my drug, the house could be falling down around me and if i've got that sweet baby in my arms ... forget it ... i dont notice ... again scroll up and look at first picture .. how could you NOT just sit there with her on your lap or layed on your chest snuggled up and not be perfictly happily content ??? ... well hope to be posting more soon , I have the Charm Swap comming up .. 11 charms go out for Beads of Courage( A charety for providing beads to kids and there familys in hospitals) and you get 11 back . all art charms all hand made , and i can't wait !! for that too :) again thank you all for your kind words , i've been working on some items that i'll have to post when i cant time and batteries

  11. I first want to tell you how much I love the name of your art shop! So pretty :)

And I'm in the Beads of Courage swap too. How fun is that? I love the many beautiful creations you gifted Gina. The mittens and hats are adorable. The crystal ornaments are awesome! What beauty!

I love Gina's wire work -- the copper and turquoise pendant is so cool. And the carnelian and amethyst pendant is gorgeous. Your snowflake is so pretty too. How lovely and how nice to share support and friendship :)

I did a double shift grandma babysitting thing yesterda, so I'm commenting today. Life and family is so important. I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my daughter just a couple months ago -- it has been challenging for me to celebrate the holidays, but god in ways too. Sending you love --

    Rita
